Made by a boxer, for boxers

The round timer that just works - without needing an account, or your personal data.

No sign-up, no data collected. Bells fire on time with the screen locked. Your music ducks for the bell and comes right back. The display reads from across the gym. That's the whole idea.

Boxing Timer home screen: preset cards, a segmented ring showing a 48 minute total workout, and a large start button

Built for the gym, not the app store screenshot

Reliable with the screen locked

Bells and warnings fire on time in your pocket, and the lock screen shows a live countdown for the current round.

Plays nice with your music

Cues briefly duck whatever you're listening to, then hand the volume straight back. No pausing, no fighting for the speaker.

Gym TV mode

AirPlay or HDMI puts a huge, high-contrast clock on the big screen. The TV shows the timer and nothing else. No sponsor card up there, no banners, ever.

Zero friction

No account, no sign-up, no permission pop-ups at launch. Open the app, pick your rounds, hit start.

Siri and Shortcuts

Start your usual session by voice or automate it - the timer is wired into Apple Shortcuts from day one.

Counts in Apple Health

Finished sessions can log to Apple Health as workouts. Write-only, optional, and entirely on your device.

Questions, answered straight

The things people ask before they switch

Usually right after whatever timer they were using let them down.

Does the timer keep running when my screen locks or my phone's in my pocket?
Yes - that's the whole point. Lock the phone, drop it in your bag, let the screen sleep, and every bell and warning still fires exactly on time. The lock screen even shows a live countdown for the round you're in.
Will the bell ring if my phone is on silent?
Yes, on purpose. A round bell you can't hear is useless, so cues play through the silent switch the way an alarm clock does. Want to train quietly? Turn sound off in Settings and keep the screen flash and vibration instead.
Can I use it with Spotify or Apple Music without my music stopping?
Yes. Your music keeps playing - cues just dip the volume for a moment and hand it straight back. Nothing pauses, nothing fights for the speaker, whether it's a playlist, a podcast, or the gym's system over Bluetooth.
Are there ads in the middle of my workout?
Never. There is no ad network in the app. A single sponsor card sits quietly on the home screen - never mid-round, never on the gym TV, never a pop-up you have to dismiss. That one card is the whole business model.
Do I have to pay, or unlock features with a subscription?
No. The app is free and the timer is the entire app - there's no "pro" tier holding your rounds, sounds, or the TV screen behind a paywall.
Do I need to create an account? What happens to my data?
No account, and no data collected - no analytics, no tracking, no identifiers of any kind. Your presets and history live on your phone and never leave it. The full privacy policy takes two minutes to read because there's nothing to disclose.
Can I customize rounds, work, rest, and warnings?
Down to the second. Set any number of rounds - or unlimited - with independent work and rest, a get-ready countdown, and up to two warning cues before the round ends. Save it as a preset and it's one tap next time.
Is it only for boxing?
No - rounds are rounds. Muay Thai, MMA, kickboxing, HIIT, Tabata, EMOM, conditioning, jump rope. There's a dedicated HIIT tab, and every preset bends to whatever your coach dreamed up.
Does it work on a gym TV or Apple TV?
Yes. Connect over AirPlay or HDMI and the timer takes over the big screen with a huge, high-contrast clock readable from the far bag. The TV shows the timer and nothing else - the phone keeps the controls.
What if I get a call, or the app closes mid-round?
It handles both. A phone call auto-pauses the session and it resumes when the call ends. And if the app is ever force-closed in the middle of a workout, it offers to pick up right where you left off.
Is the timing actually accurate over a long session?
Yes. Every cue is scheduled against a fixed timeline rather than counted tick by tick, so the bell doesn't drift across a twelve-round session or after the app spends time in the background. On time is the one thing a round timer can't get wrong.

Sponsorship

One brand. Every round.

Boxing Timer stays free because a single sponsor backs it - one clean card on the home screen, seen at the start of every session by people who train. No ad network, no tracking, full exclusivity.
